Norma Sparkman

Norma Sparkman (nee Griffin), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away, Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the age of 82. Loving wife of James Sparkman; beloved daughter of the late John Weslley and Maudie Griffin; devoted mother of Leslie (David) Cochran and Larry Sparkman; cherished grandmother of Tyler (Taylor) Carlson, Terra Cochran, Erika Cochran, Madison Cochran, Ryan Sparkman, Bailey Sparkman, and Patrick Sparkman; treasured great-grandmother of Sophia and Conner Carlson; dear sister of Don (Marcella) Griffin, Floyd Ray Griffin, Karen Griffin, Brother, Johnny (Ginger) Griffin, Christine Watson; beloved sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Norma is preceded in death by her son, Gary Sparkman; two sisters, Gloria Brewer, Gladys Schwartz; and brother, Boyd Griffin.

Norma was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. In her earlier years she enjoyed teaching Bible classes. Norma and Jim loved to go antiquing and collecting depression glass. Her greatest joy was her family. Norma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
