Nancy “Gail” Weber

February 11, 1946 — May 16, 2017

Nancy "Gail" Weber was born to Edward Earl Gotherman Jr. and Nancy Mary Gotherman on February 11, 1946, in Oakland, California, and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, and Alexandria, Virginia. She passed peacefully on May 16, 2017, at her home in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of 71.

Gail graduated from Francis C. Hammond High School, Alexandria, Virginia, in 1964, where she was the senior class representative on the homecoming court, played orchestral cello, and was the drum majorette for the Hammond High Admirals Band. She attended Frederick College in Portsmouth, Virginia, and Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Her many hobbies reflected her love of family, children, books, flowers, animals, and travel. She especially enjoyed sharing her knowledge of nature and history with the students of New Town Montessori where she volunteered regularly to read her favorite children's books to the preschoolers. Gail spent many years as a para-professional for the St. Charles School District as well as United Services.

Gail and her husband Bill recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary at Washington, DC's Cherry Blossom Festival. It was here that they had their first date. Gail and Bill were married in April, 1972, in Alexandria, Virginia, and together they raised five children. Gail was a dedicated mother who made her children's education a top priority and encouraged each of them to follow their dreams. She strove to instill courage, strength, and compassion in her children. Gail was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and was their biggest cheerleader at any extra-curricular activity including school concerts, dance recitals, school plays, football games, and sports banquets.
