Myrle Douglas Brickles, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the age of 85. Loving husband of Phyllis (Nee Koerner) of 62 years; beloved son of the late Myrle D. Brickles, Sr. and Pearl and Hugh Hareford; devoted father of Kaye (Ron) Eversoll, Janet (Wayne) Walker, Earl (Teresa) Brickles, Ginny (The late Doug) Staats, Linda (Paul) Sharp; cherished grandfather of Missy (Mike), Justin (Reanna), Richard, Lindsey (Andrew), Skye, Sarah (Alex), Tim, Joy, Chloe; treasured great-grandfather of Jocelyn, Jack and Charlie. Myrle is preceded in death by his sister, Carolee Greenroos and infant sister.
Myrle proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was known as a hard worker who dedicated over 35 years to McDonnell Douglas before retiring. Myrle was a devoted deacon who attended church faithfully. He loved his family more than anything and instilled his work ethic and faith to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a generous man with a servant’s heart who humbly helped family, church, friends and anyone who he saw in need. Myrle enjoyed hunting and fishing but was a handyman at heart and often could be found working on different projects, a true mechanic. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
