Mary Viola Franke of St. Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 83 on Sunday, July 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, August Ruth Jr. and Cornelia Hallemeier; and her siblings, Kenneth, Paul, Donald, August, and Clinton Ruth and Dorothy Finck.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-seven years, John N. Franke; her children, Deborah (Daniel) Vitale, James (Joyce) Franke, David (Joann) Franke, and Susan (Ted) Chrismer; her sisters, Judith (Erwin) Aufdemberge and Joan (Wayne) Schumpe; her nine grandchildren, her fourteen great-grandchildren; and she was a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Mary always had an incredibly strong faith and a deep love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her family and treasured every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church in Pratt, Kansas.

The family requests that all guests please wear a face mask and maintain social distancing guidelines when attending services at Chapel of the Cross.
