Lucille was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church and stayed involved with her community through her volunteer work with the St. Charles Historical Society. Her interest in history extended to a fascination with genealogy where she meticulously researched family ancestry and cemeteries. Lucille belonged to many other Historical Societies and the Oak Grove Cemetery Advisory Board in St. Charles. People always knew her as the “Go-To” Historian. She published books on the subject of genealogy which can be found today in local libraries.
Beyond her historical interests, Lucille had a wide range of other hobbies such as playing cards (especially Pinochle and Bridge), tending to her beautiful garden and award-winning yard, or cooking up a delicious meal for her family to enjoy. Lucille was all about her family and cherished the memories they all made together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
