LeRoy H. Mahnken

LeRoy H. Mahnken of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 85 on Monday, December 23, 2019. Son of the late Martin and Flora Mahnken; brother of Marilyn Zimmerman, the late Delmar Mahnken and Melva Gehrin; dear uncle of Carla (Scott) Holste, Roger Zimmerman, Richard (Melissa) Zimmerman, and Glenn (Laura) Mahnken; and brother-in-law of Dave Gehrin, the late Rev. Earl Zimmerman, and the late Jacqueline Mahnken.

LeRoy proudly served his country in the United Stated Army before attending college on the GI Bill. He graduated from the University of Missouri and went on to work as an auditor for Ralston Purina, Director for Corporate Accounting at TomBoy Grocery Stores, and owned a Save-A-Lot grocery store in Osceola, Arkansas for nine years. LeRoy was an avid baseball fan his entire life – he especially loved the St. Louis Browns and St. Louis Cardinals – and had a passion for horse racing and traveling. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
