Lea Madeline “Mad” Williams, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 79 on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Mad was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Selma Rugg.
Mad is survived by her children, Lea (David) Prost, Harold Williams, Kay (Richard) McCuskey, and Gary (Kim) Williams; her grandchildren, Lindsey (James) Craig, Dianna (Ryne) Watts, David Prost, Luke Prost, Lexi McCuskey, Anna McCuskey, Jazzy McCuskey, Evan McCuskey, Jacob McCuskey, Mandi (Sterling) Burns, Blake Cox, and Marina Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Zoey, Cooper, Riley, Chandler, Reece, Waylon, Addison, and Kase.
Mad's greatest accomplishments in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren she adored each and every one of them, and there is nothing that she enjoyed more than spending time with her family. Mad attended Washington University and University of Missouri Columbia. Mad had a very successful career in the real estate business for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and took pride in her involvement with her community. She belonged to all chambers of commerce in St. Charles County, was a historian of St. Charles properties, and helped small businesses in the St. Charles area to grow and prosper. Mad also lent her time and talents to her work as a member with the St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau. She also loved to travel was a former flight attendant for United Airlines and a member of the St. Louis chapter of Clipped Wings. In her free time, Mad enjoyed looking through re-sale shops (especially Goodwill) for anything that might catch her eye. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
