Lawrence “Larry” Morton

Morton, Lawrence “Larry”, of St. Charles, MO, died on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the age of 75. Loving husband of Carol Baer; beloved son of the late Charles and Mary Morton; devoted father of Timothy (Janet) Lawrence Morton and Elizabeth (Christopher) Ann Price; loving stepfather of Christine (Thomas) Broughton-Walter and Sarah (William) Ellen Mayer; cherished grandfather of 8; treasured great-grandfather of several; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Larry worked as a painter for over 65 years, starting with his father’s business. In his early 20’s, he started his own company, Larry Morton Painting & Decorating, and is well known for his custom work. Larry was very proud of his Italian heritage, was a gourmet cook and a classy dresser. Larry enjoyed his Mustang convertible, his houseboat “La Vita”, big steaks, red wine, and cigars. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. Larry was a very generous, gregarious, and memorable man. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
