Lavada Wood, (nee: Gunnels) of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of more than 30 years to the late Virgil Wood; Cherished daughter of the late Robert and Clesta Gunnels; devoted mother of Tina (David) Parker and Sheila Jean Wood; loving grandmother of Ashley (Matthew) Willis, Dallas Parker; dear sister of Tina Albertine. Lavada is preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.
Lavada retired from Boise Cascade Company. She liked gardening and cooking. Lavada was a loving care giver. She loved her grandchildren and her Pomeranians. Lavada enjoyed country music, some of her favorites included George Strait and Elvis Presley. She was a hard worker and a very strong woman.
Lavada was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
