Kirk Mandel Jackson II on was born on January 22, 1999 Kirk and Ronique Jackson in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was shy and quiet but being 6’7” tall meant that he was always the center of attention. Kirk attended Fort Zumwalt West High School where he played volleyball. At the time of his death he was a sophomore at McKendree University in Lebanon Illinois where he was not only a student, he was a member of the McKendree University Men’s Volleyball team. He wanted to be an accountant and often joked about going to “the league (NBA)” even though he didn’t play basketball. Kirk loved anime, music and movies. His favorite superhero was Spider-Man. He cared for everyone and watched out for everyone. If you were lucky enough to call him friend then you were in a very exclusive group and he was your friend for life.
Kirk leaves behind to cherish many memories: parents – Kirk and Ronique Jackson; sister Chelsey Jackson (Peter Steenhuis); grandmothers Rhonda Camper and Shirley Jackson; several aunts and uncles; and a host of cousins; and many, many friends from over the years.

-Life Is But A Stopping Place
Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what’s to be.
A resting place along the road to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys, different paths along the way.
We all were meant to learn something, but never meant to stay…
Our destination is place far greater than we know.
For some the journey’s quicker, for some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends, we’ll claim a great reward.
And find an everlasting peace together with the Lord.
