I worked with Kathy. She was a strong woman with a caring soul. She helped me through some rough times. She was so proud of her children and missed her husband so much. I know she is happy to be in his arms again. My thoughts & prayers are with the family.

candle 7I am so sorry and saddened to hear of the passing of Kathy. I fondly cherish my childhood memories I have of the Callaway and Farris clans getting together and boating on the river during the summers, and now so many of those loved ones from our families are in Heaven together again. Kathy joins them now, but we will see them all again one day. May the Lord grant you peace during this difficult time. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. ~Jason and Rachael Spurgeon and Family

candle 7I will miss you Kathy, you showed amazing grace, strength and faith even when you were not feeling well. I enjoyed our neighborly visits and the wonderful aroma and fellowship of your barbecues, I was just a neighbor but you made me feel like family. My deepest sympathies to Sarah, John and Hannah.

candle 4Dearest Sarah, Johnathan and Hannah, I am saddened to hear of the sudden loss of your mama. When I first met Kathy I was drawn in by her beautiful smile. Through the years at St. John you saw that smile around every corner. She loved welcoming visitors at our church doors on Sundays with you Hannah, teaching science during VBS, sharing her skills with knitting and other crafts at the Women’s retreats, and volunteering at many church events. Kathy was proud of all of her children in every way. I remember you speaking, Johnathan, to my classroom of kindergartners and sharing what it was like to serve our country. She relished bragging on you Hannah and your musical talents. Kathy’s smile, caring and kind ways will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Prayers for peace and we sit with you in this loss.

Kathy was loved by so many people. I loved hearing her talk about her children. It was clear in her words how proud she was of each one of them. She was such a joy to be around- Her smile and laugh were contagious! I send prayers to her family as they walk through this grief.

candle 7Sarah, Jonathan and Hannah I’m so sorry for the loss of your mom. Kathy was such an awesome lady, we may have only been neighbors but I’m grateful to call her a friend. Every time she was barbecuing the amazing aromas would tempt my tastebuds, and every time she saw me she invited me over for friendship and fellowship, because that’s who she was. I will truly miss her, thanks for sharing your mom with me

candle 5Kathy and I were life long friends. When I moved to Florida we talked on the phone occasionally. Her, Sue and I were like the three Muskateers. Met her in grade school and graduated with her in June 1970.
For some reason tonight I was going to try and find her phone number and put her name on search and found out she had passed away. What a shock for me. She was more like a sister to me than just a friend.
Sleep well and hope to see you later.
    Inshallah God wills
