Karen Lee Briscoe, 76, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on Monday, October 7, 2019.
Karen was born on March 22, 1943, in East St. Louis, Illinois to Bernard Scharamm and Thelma Dour. Karen graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1961, attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri, married and had two children. Karen worked for Vincenti Corporation in St. Louis Missouri and was known as a fabulous administrator. Karen was blessed with many dear friends in the St. Charles area. She was known as a very organized person taking on many projects and functions during her lifetime. Prior to her debilitating stroke in 2009, she worked for Prudential Alliance Realtors where she made many dear friends. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and making crafts.
She was also preceded in death by her biological father Bernard Schramm and her step-father Ray C. Arnold. She is survived by her daughter Tere Brun (Scott) of Apopka, Florida and Alison Briscoe of Taylor, Texas; grandchildren Stephanie England, Chandler Brun, Ryan Brun and Isabel Briscoe.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to
American Stroke Association. The family wants to extend special thanks to Karen’s wonderful friends and caregivers at Lewis and Clark Gardens.
