June S. Gerdes

June S. Gerdes of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away at the age of 84 on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  Loving wife of 66 years to the late Robert W. Gerdes, Sr; beloved daughter of the late Norine and Raymond Mueller; devoted mother of Robert W. (Sandy) Gerdes Jr., Dale (Edith) Gerdes, Linda (Wesley) Webb, and Kim (Steve) Blackmore; cherished grandmother of Tanya Mosley, Dawn Riter, Robert Gerdes III, Kandice Gerdes, Toni Runyon, Jacob Gerdes, Ashley Mann, Brandon Webb, Courtney Webb, Tyler Blackmore, and the late Sarah Gerdes; treasured great grandmother of thirteen; great-great grandmother of five; and dear sister of Cliff Mueller.  June was also preceded in death by her siblings, Norine Haffer, Ray Mueller, and Janet Poggemoeller.

June was an amazing homemaker for her family.  Above everything, she cherished her family and treasured the moments they created throughout the years.  She loved cooking and baking, and she made the best gooey butter cake, fried chicken, and deviled eggs.  She was also a group mother for the Campfire Girls when her kids were growing up.

June was a true woman of faith and devoted member of Chapel of the Cross in St. Peters.  She loved helping others and volunteered with the luncheon committee.  As the weight recorder at their weekly meetings, she was a respected member of TOPS.

As an avid seamstress, June enjoyed sewing outfits for her family and friends.  Her skill was superb, and she was sought out for her talent.  She worked with everything from wedding dresses to window garments.  She even made costumes for some of the professional clowns in the area.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel of the Cross St. Peters.
