June Marie Shaw of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 100 on Thursday, February 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving companion, Bob Crangle; her parents, Frederich and Mildred Kuennen; her grandchild, Tracy McDonald; and two brothers, Ralph and Al Kuennen.

June is survived by her children, James (Val) Shaw, Terry W. (Mary) Shaw, Janice (Joe) Quilty, and Mary “Nancy” (John) Pasch; her grandchildren, Amy (Ryan) Graff, Jennifer Shaw, Jason Shaw, Heather Quilty, Heidi (Kris) Ratzlaff, Jaime Quilty, Adam (Emily) Pasch, and David (fiancée Monica Meyers) Pasch; and her great-grandchildren, Delaney, Evan, Ava, Grant, Luke, Brigham, Bishop, and Emma.

June was a retired teacher assistant who worked with the St. Louis Special School District and she was proud of the many lives she touched over the years. She was a self-reliant woman who treasured her independence and carried that spirit with her all her life. For fun, June liked to get out on the golf course whenever she could, play cards with friends, or tend to her beautiful garden. She had a real passion for line dancing and even served as an instructor, teaching newcomers as part of her group, the St. Peter’s Rockerettes, to have the same appreciation for it that she did. Those who knew June knew that she had a famous sweet tooth with her favorite treat being her Hershey’s chocolate with almonds. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in June’s name may be made to the Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation of Jacksonville Florida.

candle 4My deepest sympathy on your great loss. June brought so much love and laughter to all who were fortunate to know her. She was one special lady. May the memories and love shared be of comfort at this difficult time. Not even death can take those from you. Love, Mary Jo
