Julius Benjamin “Benny” Boisseau Jr., of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Connie Boisseau; cherished son of the late Julius Benjamin, Sr., and Hilda Lucille Boisseau; devoted father of Michelle (David) Shelton, Yvonne (Clayton) Varley, and Denise (Steve Helton) Gift; loving grandfather of Tarryn Brewer, Matthew Shelton, Clayton Varley, Jr., Emily Varley, Hunter Varley, and Danielle Gift; treasured great-grandfather of Bryce, Jayden, Lilly, Graycen Brewer, Jack Shelton, Shannon Sommer, Ashton Ave-Lallemant; and long-time companion and friend Ruthie.
Benny is preceded in death by his grandson, Gregory Charles Gift, and his brother, Franklin Boisseau.
Benny proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army, having served in the Korean War, and received many medals including the Korean War Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Wentzville First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and flew with St. Charles Saints Aviation Club. Benny was a lifetime member of National Rifle Association and the O’Fallon VFW. He worked as a contract driver in the transportation industry. Benny’s interests included building, collecting and flying model airplanes, and riding motorcycles. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
