Julie Ann (Tharp) Moore of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the age of 66. Beloved wife of the late Philip R. Moore; cherished daughter of Robert Tharp and Dorothy Crane; devoted and loving mother of Jared (Kaitlin) Moore; dear sister of Patricia “Pat” (Jack) Thorn; sister-in-law of Jerold “Jerry” (Karen) Moore and James “Jim” (Beth) Moore. Julie is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Julie was born to Robert Elza Tharp and Dorothy May Crane on June 22, 1953 and grew up in Washington, Indiana. She earned her teaching degree from Indiana State University, specializing in special education. She married Philip “Phil” Moore on January 4, 1973. Julie worked as a teacher. After her son, Jared was born, she devoted her time by staying home to raise him.
In her spare time, she enjoyed playing board games with her family and reading. She was a devout follower of Jesus and spent her time learning about scripture. She was a St. Louis Blues fan and loved watching games with her husband and son. She also loved watching her son play hockey. Above all else, Julie deeply loved her family and her dog, Annie, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
