Joseph “Big Joe” Moehrle
December 1, 1936 — March 4, 2018
Moehrle, Joseph “Big Joe” Moehrle of Wentzville, MO, passed Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 59 years to Carolyn Moehrle; cherished son of the late Joseph R. and Florence Moehrle; devoted father of Joseph M. (Lisa Lind) Moehrle and Laura Klindworth; loving grandfather of Kelly (Chris) Walters, Megan (Kevin) Bax, and Joseph R. Moehrle; and treasured great-grandfather of McKinnley Walters, Layne Walters, and Katylin Walters.
Joseph proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a long time parishioner of St. Theodore and a devout Catholic. He loved to spend time outdoors deer hunting and tending to a garden or yard. He also loved to travel, especially with his family on vacation, and enjoyed visiting Reno every year to watch the Air Races. "Big Joe" was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salvation Army.
