John T. Dodson of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his son, John Thomas Dodson, Jr.; his parents, Burt and Jane Dodson; and his siblings, Donald Dodson, Alice Crews, and Richard Dodson.
John is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Vera Dodson; his son, Michael Dodson; his grandchildren, Taylor, Aaron, and Ryan Dodson; and his brother, Burt Dodson, Jr.
John served as a detective with the St. Louis County Police during his thirty-year career in law enforcement. He had a fantastic, dry sense of humor and enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling whenever he could. He will be dearly missed.
