John G. Rathjen

John G. Rathjen, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the age of 90.  Loving husband of 68 years to Alice Rathjen; beloved son of the late Ernest and Bertha Rathjen; devoted father of Fred E. (MaryBeth Rogers) Rathjen, Donald J. (Cheryl) Rathjen, and Steve C. (Becky) Rathjen; cherished grandfather of Lindsay (Victor) Rodriguez, Ryan Rathjen, John D. (Sasha) Rathjen, Nathan (Laura) Kenney, Curt (Robin) Rathjen, Cassie Rathjen, Dustin (Rebecca) Rosenberg, the late Natasha LaRue and the late Tom Turner; treasured great-grandfather of Bettley Rodriguez, Lexi Rodriguez, Cruz Rodriguez, Avery Rathjen, Mason Rathjen, Mia Rathjen, Dayton Rathjen, Millei Rathjen, Tessa Rathjen, Barrett Rathjen, Dexter Tindle, Hope LaRue, Marshall Turner, Caleb Rosenberg, Colton Rosenberg, and the late Talin Rathjen; great-great grandfather of Madilynn LaRue and Adeline LaRue.

John retired after many years as partner of Kribs Ford City in St. Ann.  He loved to travel with family and friends.  He always looked forward to a new adventure with his wife and they traveled all over the world together.  They also liked to go camping and were with an RV travel club.  When they weren’t traveling the globe, John and his wife enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing.  He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Football team, back in the day.  John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
