Joel “Bill” Daugherty

September 21, 1922 — February 21, 2017

Joel “Bill” Daugherty, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Daugherty; cherished son of the late Bennett and Bessie Daugherty; devoted father of Jim (Terry) Daugherty and Susan (Chuck) Crowder; loving grandfather of Patrick (Julia) Daugherty, Michael Daugherty, David (Sarah) Crowder, Colleen (Ben) Wall, Andrew (Clare) Crowder, and John (Stephanie) Crowder; treasured great-grandfather of Olivia, Sophie, Quinn, Hattie, Madelyn, and Amelia; and dear brother of the late Glen Daugherty. He is also survived by numerous friends and other relatives.

Joel was a salesman at Olin Corporation for many years. He was an Alumni of Mizzou, and a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church and St. Louis Visitors Association. He loved traveling, going out to eat, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and riding horses. He was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Caris Hospice.
