Joann Thro

Joann Thro of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Jack" Thro; her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Lang; and her sisters, Shirley (the late LeRoy) Muth, Mary Jean (the late Robert) Schneiders, Geraldine Costello, and Elizabeth (the late Robert) Noon.

Joann is survived by her children, Cecilia (Bill) Knoblauch, Theresa Thro, Mary Hicks, Anne (Ken) Eichler, Becky (J) Powers, Reta Thro, Jim (Angela) Thro, Julie (John) Fitts, Martha Dexter, Joe Thro, and Aimee (Jeff) Hayden; her twenty grandchildren; and her eleven great-grandchildren.

Joann was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO. She was a fun and loving woman who was always a joy to be around. Joann was a wonderful cook who enjoyed fixing up delicious meals for her loved ones to enjoy and she was a talented seamstress who could mend or make anything. Above everything, Joann was a perfect wife and mother who treasured her family and cherished the many great memories they all made together over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
