Joan Mary McKinney, nee Bolte, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Billy McKinney; cherished daughter of the late Margaret and Ferdinand Bolte; devoted mother of  Vickie (Craig ) Rothmeyer and Christine (Darren) Krehbiel; loving grandmother of Tami (Stephen) Hessling, Kari (Marcelo) Hernandez, Cameron (Keegan) Irish, Nicole Rothmeyer, and Natalie Rothmeyer; treasured great-grandmother of Aubrey Hessling, Kayden Hessling, Elizabeth Standerfer; Ariana Hernandez,  and Annalise Hernandez; dear sister of Doris (Lawrence) Meyer and Arlene (the late Orville) Wood; loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Joan is also preceded in death by son Timothy McKinney and sister Kathleen Bolte.

Joan loved shopping and spending time at the casino, which she fondly referred to as "going to the boat". She also enjoyed working in her flower garden, feeding the birds, and crafting. Nothing in the world gave Joan as much pleasure though, as her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Joan will be remembered for her loving and strong-willed nature, and she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
