Jeannette Monds, (nee: Hutson) of O Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Norman Monds; cherished daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Hutson; devoted mother of Norma (the late Jerry) Ingram and Donna (Thomas) Meehan; loving grandmother of Jeff (Crystal) Ingram, Matthew (Sarah) Meehan, Eric (Jessica) Meehan and Timothy (Samantha) Meehan; treasured great-grandmother of Aubrey Meehan, Ava Meehan, Emily Meehan, Camden Meehan, Jameson Meehan, and Maelyn Meehan; sister of the late Delores Thornhill; Jeannette is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Jeannette was a supportive mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a talented seamstress and loved cooking, gardening and fishing. She was quite handy around the house and could get anything fixed. Jeannette loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions can be made in Jeannette’s name to the American Cancer Society.

    candle 5Great neighbor for the last 22 years. Always glad to help her with small problems and repairs when her husband passed away.

      Thank you Wayne and Carole for all your help, especially after Dad had passed. Mom wanted to be home and was able to do that with your help watching over her. Our family is grateful for that……Donna

    I don’t know if you will remember me Kathy O’Connell Fink. We lived on Julian Avenue. I am sorry to hear about your mom. She was a great lady. We had a lot of fun with her. She saved my rear on a sewing project for school. If it wasn’t for her I would have failed. She was a great lady. Kathy Fink

Your mom sounds like a strong and faithful woman who truly loved her family and was loved by them.And the time that you spent with her here recently was truly a privilege that few get to experience.
