Janice Marie Bitzer, of St. Charles, Missouri, age 79, died peacefully at home on December 5, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer. Janice is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lou, sons Steve (Monica) of Defiance, Missouri, Tim (Melanie) of Flower Mound, Texas, and Tobias (Windy) of Mobile, Alabama and daughter Judy (David) Rowe of Park City, Utah. She is also survived by her greatest joys, her grandchildren: Gregg, Ben, Emma, Vonn, Sophie, and Victor Bitzer, and Mariella and Natalie Rowe. Other family members, including her brother Robert Pulley, will also greatly miss her.
A native of Willow Springs, Missouri, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Eva Pulley, and brother Jimmy. Janice received her Master’s in education at UMSL. She devoted her life to family and to the hundreds of children she taught as an elementary school teacher. Her passion for her family and students was reciprocated with adoration and deep affection. She loved Jesus and shared her faith through acts of kindness and encouragement, all with gentleness and warmth.
