Janice A. Benne

Janice "Jan" A. Benne (née Heaton), of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away at the age of 70 on Monday, May 6, 2019.  Jan fought multiple serious health issues the past year and a half, and even to the end made sure she held on until all of her children were able to come back and see her.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. and Arleen T. (Ebert) Heaton.

Jan was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, on April 2, 1949.  She grew up in Oakville and graduated from Mehlville High School.  Jan met her husband, Roy A. Benne, while attending Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and they were married on August 22, 1970.

Jan is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Benne; her daughter, Cheryl (Joshua) Benne-Baker; her sons, David, James (Sherrie), Michael, Jason (Tammy), Joshua (Sharon) and Jonathan Benne; her grandchildren, Lake Benne, August Benne, Hannah Benne, Cameron Baker, Amanda Corbell, Misty Smith, Daniel Cason and Brett Cason; her great-grandchildren, Brayden Bunnell, Sailor Corbell and Cailynn Corbell; her sisters, Judy (Gary) Hill and Nancy Heaton; her brothers, Robert (Chris) and Donald (Genise) Heaton; her nieces and nephews; her aunt Eileen O’Brien; and several cousins.

Jan most loved time spent with her grandchildren, cooking, listening to music, and the trips she and Roy were able to make before her health began to fail.
