James J. Donovan

James J. Donovan, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the age of 90. Loving husband of the late Jeanne Donovan; beloved son of the late Alfred and Helen Donovan; dear brother of Leo Donovan and Thomas J. Donovan; treasured uncle of loving nieces and nephews. James is also preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Meyer; brother, Alfred J. Donovan, Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Georgiann Donovan and Vicky Donovan; and brother-in-law, Elmer Meyer.

Jim retired from the Ft. Zumwalt School District, he worked there as a teacher and counselor for many years. Jim was an active parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was one of their original founding members. In his free time Jim enjoyed playing golf and gave generously of his time, volunteering for the Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Services. Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
