J. R. Hinkley

Charles William Hinkley, was born on June 2, 1947, in Winfield, Kansas, to Bill and Dorothy Hinkley. After graduating from Emporia State University, he took a position at St. Charles High School as a health and physical education teacher and as a coach. He was particularly proud as having served as offensive coordinator for the St. Charles High School football team that won the Missouri State Football Championship, as well as, teaching high school children with disabilities how to swim and bowl. He retired from teaching in 2000. J.R. was married to the love of his life, Barbara Ford Hinkley for forty years. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Kelly Glisan Cahill, her husband Gene, and two grandchildren, Conor and Aileen Cahill.

Donations are requested for the Special Olympics and Arthritis Foundation.
