Helen M. Bode

Helen M. Bode, (nee: Nagel) of New Haven, Missouri, formerly of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the age of 102. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred J. Bode; cherished daughter of the late Philip G. and Esther H Nagel; devoted mother of Margaret (Rev. William) Zastrow; loving grandmother of Mary Elizabeth (Nathan) Hiatt; and great-grandmother of one on the way.

Helen is also preceded in death by her brother, John Nagel.

Helen was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles where she was active in the Lydia’s Society, the Mother’s Club, and was also a member the Church Birthday Club. She was a talented seamstress, enjoying quilting, and needlework. Most of all, Helen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
