Glennon Andrew Runde, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the age of 96. Loving husband of the late Arline Runde; beloved son of the late George and Antoinette Runde; devoted father of Daniel (Fran) Runde, Barbara (Mark) Reading, Pat Stewart, Kathleen (Earl) Schillinger, David Runde, and the late James Runde; cherished grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 9; dear brother of Mary Runde. Glennon was preceded in death by his siblings, George Runde, Francis Runde, Fr. William Runde, Sr. Angelista Runde, S.S.N.D., and Alice Powell
Glennon proudly and honorably served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II - 1st Air Division 8th AF. He retired after more than 30 years as a banker for Community Federal Savings & Loan.
Glennon was a parishioner at St. Cletus Catholic Church for many years, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He liked listening to Big Band music, especially the Glenn Miller Band. As a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and tending to his garden where he planted tulips, marigolds, day lilies, daffodils, and many other colorful flowers. Glennon was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and rarely missed watching a game.
Above all, Glennon loved spending time with his family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
