Gigi McKinzie of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away at the age of 61 on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Beloved wife of Michael McKinzie; mother of Jorden Basford, Michelle Racer, Jacque Lewis, Kim McKinzie, and Kellie Meyer; grandmother of Paige Batton, Drew Meyer, McKinzie Racer, and Merrick Basford; great-grandmother of Kendyl Batton; aunt of Alexander Sherman, Elena Coleman, Ryan Coleman, and Damien Von Klemen; daughter of Adolphe Von Klemen and Jean Davis; sister to John Von Klemen, James Von Klemen, and Cindi Coleman; sister-in-law of Denise McKinzie.
Gigi earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Communication at Maryville University and her master’s degree at St. Louis University. She enjoyed a long and successful career over the years at a number of businesses such as AT&T, Edward Jones, LMI Aerospace, and Cushman and Wakefield. Gigi was active in many organizations related to her faith, charitable spirit, and her professional status. She had the distinction of serving as a board member for Catholic Charities of St. Louis, did charitable work with the Queen of Peace Center and St. Patrick’s Center, belonged to the “Bible Babes,” and was formerly a President of the Professional Women SBC. She will be dearly missed.
