George John Fegiel

George John Fegiel, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the age of 94.  Loving husband of the late LaVonn Fegiel; beloved son of the late Frank and Helen Fegiel; dearest brother of Lawrence Fegiel, Frank (the late Dorothy) Fegiel, and the late Carl Fegiel.  He was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

George proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during World War II.  He met his beautiful LaVonn after returning home, and they enjoyed a long courtship until they were married on August 7, 1976.  He absolutely adored his wife and cherished their life together.  They enjoyed going on cruises together and with family and friends.

George worked in the furniture industry and retired after many years of doing upholstery.  He had an amazing talent and created beautiful designs for his customers.  He was also a handyman of his own kind, and made sure everything was in its place.  He had a unique talent to repair things with his special touch.

George loved to be outside tending to his yard, making sure he mowed his lawn regularly to keep it at perfection.  He was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and watched every game, up close and personal!  He truly enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  George was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
