Genevieve Mary “Sissy” Fleming

Genevieve Mary “Sissy” Fleming (nee: Erker), 85, Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church administered by her son Reverend Rodger Fleming. The beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert J. Fleming, M.D. Born September 27, 1932 and passed away on July 25, 2018, the Feast Day of St. James. Loving mother of ten children, Judy (Dennis) Meinert, Dr. Rob (Susan Steck) Fleming, Genny (Rob) Glosier, Dr. Tom (Mary Willbrand) Fleming, Cheryl (Dr. Alain) Lambert, Susie (Ken) Choinka, Rev. Rodger Fleming, Gerard (Susan Kerkemeyer) Fleming, Rich (Caroline Southerland) Fleming, and Tim (Erin Newman) Fleming; grandmother of 40; great grandmother of 12; daughter of Eugene and Genevieve (nee Jennings) Erker, and sister of Rodger Erker. She is preceded in death by her brothers Gene, Bill, and Jack Erker.

She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School, Villa Duchesne, and Maryville College. She participated in The Children of Mary Sodality, Birthright of St. Charles, Bridge Club (60 years) and Religious Discussion group (60 years).

Her joys were going to Mass, spending time with family and friends, and photography. She also enjoyed many pilgrimages to the shrines of Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, Medjugorje, and the Holy Land.

Her contagious laughter and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
