Gary Patterson, of Saint Charles, MO, April 19, 2017, at the age of 68. Loving husband of the late Patricia Patterson; beloved son of the late Pat Patterson and Arline Roberta Patterson; devoted father of Jimmy Thompson, Terry Thompson, Kurtis Thompson, Amanda (David) Jones, and Jennifer Abernathy; cherished grandfather of seven; treasured great-grandfather of two; dear brother of Gaye (David) Mizell, Mike Patterson, and Suzanne (Al) Hibbett; beloved uncle to many.

Gary was a local Hall of Famer, longtime Proprietor, and one of STL's most decorated bowling left-handers. He was the son of legendary STL Budweiser Team Member, Pat Patterson, and was for years with his family the proprietor of Ellisville Bowl (now Gary Voss' West County Lanes). On the lanes, Gary was among the most accomplished lefties the STL has ever produced. He was a six-time PBA Regional Champion. Among national PBA accomplishments, in 1978 he finished 3rd in the Rolaids Open --- STL's annual PBA National Tour Stop at Dick Weber Lanes --- losing in televised stepladder finals to the great Earl Anthony and eventual winner Dave Davis. In 1977 he finished 4th in the AMF Regional Champions Classic behind Dave Davis, Mark Roth, and Ed DiTolla. Among national USBC (then ABC) accomplishments Gary Patterson won the EAGLE as a Classic Division Team Event Champion in 1978. Gary Patterson was inducted into our association Hall of Fame in the category of superior performance in 1993.

Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. Gary was dearly loved and will be greatly missy by all who knew him.
