Frederick “Fred” William Schermes
November 10, 1932 — February 21, 2019
Frederick “Fred” William Schermes of Des Peres, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Carol Schermes; cherished son of the late William and Mary Schermes; devoted father of Sue Dudek, Linda Kuntz, Bill Schermes, and Sharon (Chris) Weber; loving grandfather of Jen, Laura, and Chris; treasured great-grandfather of Tyler, Jackson, Nicolas, James, and Kennedy.
Fred is preceded in death by his sister Shirley.
Fred proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a contract negotiator with McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing. Fred was a member of Lions Club International and Barbershop Chorus International. Most importantly, he was a loving father who instilled discipline, respect, and responsibility in his children. Fred was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
