Floyd “Joe” Smith, Sr.

Smith, Floyd “Joe”, Sr., of O'Fallon, MO, died on Wednesday November 16, 2016, at the age of 80. Loving husband of Martha Smith; beloved son of the late Albert A. and Mary Elizabeth Smtih; devoted father of Floyd "Joe" (Sandra) Smith, Jr., Jerry Wayne Smith, and Randy Allen (Jennifer) Smith; cherished grandfather of Floyd "Joe" (Laura) Smith, III, David (Jennifer) Smith, James "J.R." (Leigh) Palitzsch, Jamie (Ryan) Williams, Abigail Smith, and Jacob Smith; treasured great-grandfather of Nathan Palitzsch, Alexis Palitzsch, Evelyn "Evie" Williams; dear brother of Jim, Charlie, Gertie, Altha, Lena, and Mary.

Joe was also preceded in death by daughter, Sandra Lee Palitzsch and two sisters, Opal Crites and Pearl Parham.

Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. National Guard. Joe was a very talented woodworker, avid hunter, and fisherman. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all he loved his family especially his grandchildren. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
