Flora B. Whitaker, (nee Nickelson) age 88 of St. Peters, MO on Thursday October 19, 2017. Beloved wife of the late William Clifford Whitaker; cherished daughter of Joseph and Blanche Nickelson; devoted mother of Jean (George) Hosick, Alan (Regina) Whitaker, Richard (Linda) Whitaker and Carol (Karl) Paubel; loving grandmother of Lisa (Greg), Barbara (Phil), Aimee (Jake), Adam, Erin (Pete), Clinton, Laurie (Joe), Mathew (Clarissa), Mark (Wendy), Kim, and Jim (Tracy); treasured great-grandmother of 22; dear sister of Florence Durham. Flora is preceded in death by her great-grandson Joshua Taylor and her sisters, Anna Belle Hawkins, Marcella Litton, and Betty Gilliam. Flora was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Flora was born in Richwoods, Missouri. She is remembered as a kind person who loved to go shopping and enjoyed eating out. She cherished spending time with her family especially family reunions. Her greatest passion was her love for reading, especially Harlequin romance novels.
