Eugene Gagnepain

May 18, 1939 — July 25, 2019

Eugene Gagnepain of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Peggy Gagnepain; cherished son of the late Wallace Gagnepain and Gussie Gagnepain; devoted father of Evan (Lisa) Gagnepain, and Paul (Fiancé Tracy Brookes) Gagnepain; loving grandfather of Emma, Caitlyn, and Alex Gagnepain; dear brother of John Gagnepain, Lucy Brenner, and Joe (Pat) Favier; treasured Godfather of Natalie White; much loved uncle, nephew, and cousin.

Eugene was an 8th grade science teacher for more than 25 years in the Ferguson/Florissant school district. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a Fourth Degree with Our Lady of Fatima in Ferguson. For hobbies, Eugene enjoyed playing the piano and yodeling (sometimes unexpectedly). He also volunteered at the Missouri Botanical Gardens for many years, sharing his green thumb and expertise. Eugene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eugene's name to Knights of Columbus http://www.kofc.org/un/en/charities/index.html, or to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society through Saint Roberts Parish St. Charles.
