Elizabeth “Betty” Frye of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday, January 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Frye; her parents, William and Alberta Schneider; and her siblings, Ida Buerk, Jane Guittar, and Larry Schneider.
Betty is survived by her children, Janet "Jan" Butler, Michael (Deb) Frye, Deborah (Ron) Boedeker, Mark (Becky) Frye, Kathy (Chuck) Ervin, Sharon (Tim) Ritzel, Pam (Kevin) French, Donna (Joe) Rivet, and DeeDee (Randy) Henderson; her 70 grandchildren; her 38 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Wilma Mitchell and William Schneider; and she was a loving sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, friend, and like a mother to many others.
Betty was strong in her faith and active in many parts of her church, including the XYZ church group. She had the kind of friendly, welcoming personality that made it so Betty never knew a stranger no matter the place or time. Dancing was a great passion of Betty’s and she loved to go out and dance the jitterbug, ballroom dancing, swing dancing, and really anything that she could groove to. Flowers held a special place in Betty’s heart and she cultivated a garden of clematis, mandevilla, and many other beautiful flowers. Her garden was always pretty enough to be on the cover of “Better Homes and Gardens” and make their yearly top ten list.
Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to
