Edwin “Ed” S. Hinrichs

Edwin “Ed” S. Hinrichs, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at the age of 94. Loving husband of the late Rosemary Hinrichs; beloved son of the late Fred and Florence Hinrichs; devoted father of Gary (Lynda) Hinrichs, Edwin "Ed" (Margaret “Peggy”) Hinrichs, Thomas "Tom” (Kathleen “Kathy”) Hinrichs, and Stephen "Steve" (Janet) Hinrichs; cherished grandfather of twelve; treasured great-grandfather of eight with one more on the way. Edwin is preceded in death by his brother, Melvin "Mel"(Marjorie) Hinrichs.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church for eighteen years. Ed was a Scout Master with the boy scouts and was very involved in his children’s lives. He enjoyed traveling all over and would love to try new things on his adventures. He supported the church and spent much of his free time as a volunteer. He was a very faithful man who instilled his faith to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was very important to Ed and he cherished the time he spent with his family. He loved his daughters-in-laws and was very welcoming to anyone. Ed was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Ed's honor to St. Vincent Depaul Society at Saint Barnabas Catholic Church.
