Earla Alaire Loveless, (nee: Henton) of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late John F. (Husband) Loveless, Jr.; cherished daughter of the late Leonard and Elsie M. Henton; devoted mother of James "Jimmy" (Stephanie) Loveless, John F. (Christine) Loveless, III, and Joseph M. (Beth Ann) Loveless; dear step-mother of Marjorie Loveless; loving grandmother of Thomas (Nicole) Loveless, Jeffrey Loveless, Kylie Loveless, Kaylin Gernon, James D. Loveless, Abbigayle Loveless, Jenna Loveless, Gavin Loveless, Ashley Stroyan, and Christiana Catchpole-Loveless; dear great-grandmother of Sophia, Leah, Grace, Elliot, and one on the way.

Earla is also preceded in death by son, Stephen Ross; brother, Warren "Sandy" Sanders; stepson, Jon Loveless; a sister in infancy; and her cousins, Muriel and George Milne.

A common theme throughout Earla’s life was that she was most known for her selfless dedication to helping the less fortunate. She was a faithful member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Earla also belonged to the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and was involved in their philanthropic efforts supporting St. Jude’s Hospital and other worthwhile charities. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary Post 388 in O'Fallon, Missouri. Earla graduated from the University of Alaska and retired from the state of Missouri Division of Employment Security. She also served as a child advocate CASA representative in St. Charles County.

Earla was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Memorials may be made in Earla's name to the Humane Society, or to St. Jude's Hospital.

Earla was a very dedicated Epsilon Sigma Alpha member and her warm smile welcomed many visitors to the St. Jude Dream Home open houses over the years. She especially enjoyed “working” the master bathrooms so she could point out the great features. She will be missed. To her family…you memories will keep her alive in your hearts forever.

candle 4We at the Kennel are so sorry for your loss. She was the nicest lady ever and her love for her dogs was unmatched from anyone we have known. She almost cried every time she had to leave them. We will sure miss seeing her.

candle 8I will always cherish the times Earla and I traveled to Ireland together. She enjoyed herself so much as I did. Later just taking day trips and the fun we had seeing different sights. Just having her near me was always such a Joy. She will be dearly missed.
