Douglas “Doug” W. Quade

Douglas W. Quade of Chesterfield, MO, passed away at the age of 95 on Thursday, October 8, 2020. He was survived by his beloved wife, Mildred “Millie” Quade, before she followed him in death just three days later on October 11.

Douglas is survived by his children, Douglas (Janece) Quade and Jamie Lynk; his grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Quade, Cristina (Dan) Hennessey, Benjamin Quade, and Katelynn Quade; and his great-grandchildren, Danny, Dominic, Carter, Lily, Finley, Wyatt, Charolette, and Duke.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Eleanor Quade; and his sister, Shirley.

Douglas enjoyed maintaining an excellent home through the hard work and care he put into his yard or the property renovation projects he undertook. Traveling with Millie and their friends and family all throughout the US on car rides, bus tours, and casino trips or going on a cruise were some of life’s greatest highlights for Douglas and he always looked forward to their next trip. For fun, Douglas and Millie enjoyed playing card games (especially their favorite, 500) or spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved so much. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Douglas’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
