Don L. Hessling, of Lake St. Louis, MO, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church passed away peacefully Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 74 surrounded by his devoted family after a lengthy illness. Loving husband of over 54 years to Bonnie Hessling; beloved son of the late Don and Betty Jo Hessling; devoted father of Brad (Sarah) Hessling and Brent (Marjorie) Hessling; cherished grandfather of Meredith (Matthew) DeClue, Madeline (Evan) Hosna, and Mollymae Hessling; treasured great-grandfather of Hadley DeClue; dear brother of Tracie Hessling and Tom (Sandy) Hessling; and many other beloved family members.
Don is also survived by his four-legged companion who he adored, Tucker.
Don dedicated many years as a plumber for Local 562. Don was a member at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church for over 30 years where he was a member with his wife, Bonnie. In his free time, Don enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family. Don loved to go hunting, fishing and spend time at Mark Twain lake. He will always be remembered for his “stories” and being able to make anyone smile or laugh. Don is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
