Delores Hilda Elise Ermeling Nau nee Huster of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late John Nau and first husband Edward M. Ermeling Jr.; cherished daughter of the late Carl and Cornelia Huster; devoted mother of Dianne (Paul) Helvey, Dean (Kay) Ermeling, and Nancy (Zoe) Ermeling; caring step-mother of Joan Lapara, James Nau, Tom (Janet) Nau, and Sharon Nau; loving grandmother of Jason Helvey, Jodi (Robert) Cline, Julie (Tim) Schroeder, Jessica (Marc) Maull, Tim (Angie) Boettler, Brad (Kari) Boettler, Cory (Amanda) Boettler, and Krista Boettler and step-grandmother of Ben Perez and Graham Nau; treasured great-grandmother of seventeen; and adored owner of cat Maxi; she was an aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Delores was also preceded in death by her daughter Cherryl (the late James) Boettler; brother Carl (Laverne) Huster, and sister Marjorie (Mel) Hollenberg.
Delores will be remembered for her work ethic and commitment to raising and loving her children and family. She always put others first and was willing to help at the drop of a dime. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. When not doting on her family, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting and throwing Friday night grass cutting parties. She was a member for 74 years of Birthday Club 28 and Immanuel Lydia Society as well as a member of the Quilting Club, Alter Guild, and Naomi Circle. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
