Deanna Dotson of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over fifty years, Tony Dotson; her parents, Louis and Dorothy Ebker; and her brother, Ron (survived by Wanetha) Ebker.
Deanna is survived by her sons, Michael (Nina) Dotson and Brian (Sherry) Dotson; her grandchildren, Tara (Michael Riley), Taylor, James, Traci, and PFC Zachary; her siblings, Gerald (the late Martha) Ebker and Patricia (Edward) Mobley; and her nieces and nephews.
Deanna was a member of St. Peters Church of Christ where she volunteered her time to head the teddy bear program there. She had a caring spirit and served as a nurse for over fifty years, a career that was a perfect match for her selfless attitude of always being the first person to help and the last to ask for it.
She loved being a grandmother and being there to cheer for her grandkids during their sports events. In her free time, Deanna loved to bake and cook – especially her famous sugar cookies – or take up a crocheting project. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Baue Funeral Homes does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facilities. Social distancing is required, and guests should stay at least 6 feet apart. Thank you for your understanding.

I have had the privilege of knowing Deanna 46 years. She was a great friend and sister in Christ and one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. My heart goes out to her wonderful family and dear friends. She will be greatly missed.
Brian and Sherry, Michael and Nina and all of Deanna”s dearest family. We’re so very sorry and send our love, prayers and deepest sympathy. Deanna has been a dear friend for to me and my family for over 50 years. She and Bob loved to sing together. And she stayed with us the night he went home. We have so many precious memories and we will miss her. Joyce, Brenda and Patricia
I’m sorry for your loss. Due to my dad’s health and the Covid19 we don’t take him out like we used to. Hugs to everyone!
Well will miss her smiling face at Midtowne Market! Prayers to your family!
I worked with Deanna at VNA and she was the best of what our nursing profession is all about. I really enjoyed working with her. She was such a caring person and a true professional. I am so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry to just find this listing at Baue–=it must not have been in the paper, or I missed it somehow. I worked with Deanna and always enjoyed her peaceful presence and organization! Such a dear person. We often talked of the “old days” when Brian and Tom played baseball together! I’m still in the same house, as she was!!
Extending my deepest sympathy to the family. Our VNA group was hoping to get together in the near future. She will be missed.
I worked with Deanna for many years at VNA and was so sorry to hear about her passing. I echo all the comments about her professionalism. She was a wonderful, dedicated nurse and the nicest person. I so enjoyed catching up with her when I would run into her in St Charles-she was so proud of her family. My sympathies to your family.
I will miss her…
Michael and Bryan, I am so sorry to learn today (12/26) of your sweet mom’s passing. She and your dad were two of the most loving and kind people I remember from the old Charbo and Karen family. I shared a bond with your mom…our love of singing, and I have fond memories of singing together. I pray that you and your families will be blessed with precious memories and the peace of our Father.
