Colleen Mielke

Colleen Mielke (nee: Gardner), of St. Peters, MO, died on Sunday February 5, 2017, at the age of 91. Loving wife of 47 years to the late Laurence Mielke; beloved daughter of the late JT and Grace Gardner; devoted mother of Linda (Norm) Richards, Bonnie (Frank) Mohr, Sharon (Steven) Stranz, Gary (the late Jena) Mielke, and Mary Rohrbacher; cherished grandmother of 11; treasured great-grandmother of 18; dear great-great-grandmother of one; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Lois Foote, and Dorothy Hobbins.

In her younger years, Colleen was a telephone operator for Bell. She then went on to become an assistant nurse and worked for Missouri Baptist Hospital. She enjoyed playing rummy, scrabble, doing crossword puzzles, and bird watching. Mostly, Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
