Charles M. Eilers

Charles Matthew Eilers, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at the age of 94. Loving husband of the late Marian (nee Thoele) Eilers; beloved son of the late William and Marie Eilers; devoted father of the late Michael Eilers, Charlotte (Mark) Lang, Marsha (Jim) O'Brien, Mark Eilers, Joyce (Mark) Geisler, Joan (Bill) Kriesmann, Charles (Donna) Eilers, Susan (Walter) Burns, Karen Moloney (Mel Lewis), Sandra Komadina, Frieda Hesskamp, Keith (Sue) Eilers, and Robin (Joe) Gegg; proud grandfather of 35; treasured great-grandfather of 44; and dear brother of Ruth Orf, June Dickbernd, the late William Eilers, the late Helen Bextermueller, and the late Ethel Simon; and father-in-law of Penny Eilers. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Virginia, two granddaughters, Michelle and Bridget, and great-grandson, Charlie.

Charles was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 823. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
