Charles John “Charlie” Calvert

September 9, 1929 — April 23, 2018

Charles John “Charlie” Calvert, of Shawnee, KS, formerly of Glasgow Village, MO, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Adele Calvert (nee Curtin); beloved son of the late George and Katherine Calvert; devoted father of Darlene (Henry) Dean, Diane (Dennis) Calais, Dennis (Renee) Calvert, Gary (Lisa) Calvert, Daniel (Tabatha) Calvert, and Karen (James) Schroeder; cherished grandfather of fourteen; treasured great-grandfather of several. He is preceded in death by his son, Charles Michael Calvert; and his eight siblings.

Charlie was a devout catholic and a parishioner at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He was a former member of Eagles and Elks Lodges in Alton, Il. Charlies main passion was dancing the “Jitterbug.” He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
