Charles A. “Charlie” Bethmann

Charles A. “Charlie” Bethmann, age 95, of St. Peters, Missouri, February 6, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Mary Lee Bethmann (nee Ruff); cherished son of the late Theodore and Julia Bethmann (nee Kirchner); devoted father of Jo Ann (Harold) Prinster, James (Elaine) Bethmann, and John (Jeanne) Bethmann; loving grandfather of Jeff Prinster, Brad (Erin) Prinster, Adam (Tess) Bethmann, Brian (Nikki) Bethmann, Cory (Sheri) Bethmann, Andy Bethmann, Danny (Stacie Meyer) Bethmann, and Jamie (David) Compton; treasured great-grandfather of 8; loving great-great-grandfather of 2; and dear brother of Fred "Fritz" Bethmann and Rita Pieper.

Charlie was also preceded in death by his siblings, Theodore "Tate" Bethmann, Jr., Edith Obrecht, Leonard Bethmann, Rose Iffrig, Kathrine "Katie" Ell, and Helen Tihen.

Charlie lived to enjoy 5 generations of family. He was a lifetime member of All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, Missouri and St. Peters Knights of Columbus Council # 1587, where he was a Fourth Degree Knight and served as a Grand Knight. Charlie was also a member of the Illinois-Missouri Tractor & Engine Club. He volunteered for many years as a fireman for the St. Peters Fire Protection District. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Heritage Organization in care of All Saints Catholic Church, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (All Saints Catholic Church), or Masses.
