Carol J. Bumb

Carol J. Bumb of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike Bumb; her daughter, Nancy (survived by Roland) Kerchoff; her parents, George and Lydia Sievert; and her siblings, Verona Bull and Robert Sievert.

Carol is survived by her son, David (Karen) Bumb; her grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Kerchoff, Matthew (Theresa) Kerchoff, Andrea (Aaron) Elking, and Ryan (Renae) Bumb; and her great-grandchildren, Skyler, Kaitlyn, and Kassidy Kerchoff, and Farron Bumb.

Carol was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and active in the Nursing Home Ministry where she put her musical talents to use through playing the piano. She was a fantastic baker who loved working in the kitchen to make delicious treats for her friends and loved ones to enjoy. People considered themselves very lucky to receive one of her famous chocolate chip cookies whenever she gave them away. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church music fund or the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
