We have such loving memories of Bruce and Bonnie. We are their friends forever, here and eternity. We have loved them and respected them. Bruce was such a great example of a devoted Christian, husband, dad, friend. Love to all the family, and please someone give Bonnie a hug for us.

Bruce was a good Christian man who was like family to my family. He taught our 2 children in Sunday school and got us involved in teaching to the kids in his class. He always took a interest in what sport or activities our kids were involved in. I’ll always remember that big smile of his. His love for Jesus and his church was very evident in his life. He will be missed but he is now in his heavenly home with that big smile on his face.
Our prayers are with his wife Bonnie and all of the family. Thank you for sharing him with us !!!!

candle 7Bruce was instrumental in making me, and my then husband, feel so at home when we moved to O’Fallon in 1984. He and Bonnie quickly became our go tos for all things in the area. Sometimes, I would go to the “old people’s” Sunday School class just to listen to him teach. I have so many fond memories, and am keeping your family in my prayers during this time.

Bruce was a friend of mine and my deceased husband, Jerry Smith. I can still see his wonderful smile and happy personality in the memories of him that are in my mind. In the retirement stage of life, the miles separated our lives but not the wonderful memories of our friendship with Bruce and Bonnie.

Bruce was a great friend, and mentor. He helped me through difficult times and was an influence on my Christian growth.
In him I saw a love for Christ that was freely shared and shown every day. Time and distance have separated us, but hardly a day has gone by that I don’t remember his smile, his hardy handshake followed by a hug around the shoulders.

Martha and I have shed many tears after hearing of his passing. These are tears of sadness knowing we will not see him again in this life, but we know where his new home is, and we will see that smile once again when we reach our heavenly home.

I always considered Bruce to be a “Gentle Man” and a fine Christian person. We were good friends when we were in the Kiwanis Club. Bruce worked hard for the Club but not as hard as he did when it came to the meals for the O’Fallon “shut-ins”.
    He will be missed!
Bonnie “May the promises of our Lord shine upon your problems.” You and the Shipley family are in my prayers.
